PostSubject: BVA Hip & Elbow scoring, Heart Testing & Eye testing clinic in Kent   Fri Sep 09, 2011 4:00 pm

Hi all

I have come across a vet in Deal, Kent that does BVA hip & elbow, heart testing & eye testing at a special clinic that is run every 3 months.
Xraying for ED/HD is done under sedation.

May be useful for anyone down my neck of the woods!

It is organised via:
Vet at Union Street, Deal, Kent,
co-ordinated by a lady called
Michelle Chitty who can be contacted on 01304 375571 or 07747 878841.

Charges are as follows:
(These costs are for dogs 55kg or over, if you have a dog weighing less, it is £10 cheaper)

Hip & Elbow xrays: £135 plus BVA fee of £90 = £225.00 per dog
Hip xrays only: £100 plus BVA fee of £50 = £150.00 per dog

Heart testing by ausiculation & ECG (with a BVA certificate) £45 per dog

Eye testing (with BVA certificate) £28 per dog

All these tests can be done on the same day at the same place. It is organised via the vet surgery above but actually held at an equine clinic about 5 miles away. You don't have to belong to the vet practise to have your dogs tested at this clinic.

There are some spaces available in December & in 2012 I believe they will run in March, June, Sept & Dec

These tests are very important. We should let our dogs have these tests to be aware of any underlying disease conditions they might have.
